Last week, we once again kicked off our thrilling House events, bringing together students from Year 1 to Year 6 to foster school spirit, house pride, and friendly competition.
Our School has recently acquired virtual and augmented reality headsets to enhance our students' learning experiences. These innovative tools will support the inquiry process by allowing students to explore new worlds, conduct virtual field trips, and interact with 3D models of complex concepts right in the classroom.
As part of the Unit of Inquiry “Animals in the world”, under the Transdisciplinary Theme: Sharing the planet, Year 2 visited the “Estación de Cría de Flora y Fauna Autóctona: Uruguay Tabaré González Sierra” in Piriápolis, Maldonado.
Last Wednesday, 6th September, Kinder students visited the "Jardín Botánico", as the provocation to the third Unit of inquiry, “ Who is hiding in my garden?” under the Transdisciplinary Theme Sharing the Planet.
September marks the beginning of the Rugby World Cup and we would like to congratulate our alumni who are part of this impressive tournament: Santiago Civetta, Carlos Deus, Manuel Leindekar, Baltazar Amaya, Bautista Basso, Andrés Vilaseca and the OBC player Felipe Arcos Pérez.
As part of the Unit of Inquiry “...and my heart started pounding”, under the Transdisciplinary Theme: How we Express Ourselves, Year 2 welcomed the Uruguayan author Agustina Roig.
Kinder students are working on the second Unit of Inquiry “I can grow big and strong” under the Transdisciplinary Theme “Who we are.” The Central idea is “Our Behaviour Impacts our Health.”
On Monday, 12th June, Prep students celebrated Community Helpers Day at School as part of their Unit of Inquiry, under the transdisciplinary theme, “How we organise ourselves."
Working on their second Unit of Inquiry “I feel good”, under the Central Idea “People can be creative and express themselves with different materials”, Year 1 students received the visit of Ms Acle, who showed them the way she reuses materials to be creative and express herself.
