YEAR 6 - PALACIO LEGISLATIVO

As part of Unit 1, 'Uruguay, un caleidoscopio de aquí y de allá,' which aims to explore the concept of identity and learn about the history of our country at the beginning of the 20th century, we visited the Palacio Legislativo, an iconic building from that era that this year celebrates its centenary since its inauguration.

This field trip marked the beginning of the unit, sparking enthusiasm and interest among the students. From this experience, a learning journey will unfold, incorporating concepts from the areas of Citizenship and History.

Senator Pedro Bordaberry, with pride and nostalgia, shared memories of his time as a student at The British Schools with the students. He also reflected on the possibility that, in the future, they could represent our country in parliament, highlighting the importance of effort, study, and good behaviour on that path.
