Y9 COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT - FUNDACIÓN "PISO DIGNO"

As part of our ongoing community involvement projects, last Friday, 7^th of June , Y9 students together with staff members and their parents, set off to build floors in a neighbourhood called “San Miguel”. The neighbourhood is named in honour of the man in charge of the “merendero”.The participants split into three working groups: two were in charge of building floors and one in charge of cooking food in the local “merendero” in total over 350 people. The money that was raised during the “Be an Upstander campaign” was equal to the cost of 9 floors which will be built on several dates throughout the year with Y9 volunteers and their families.
It was a successful and meaningful experience for our students and their families.
