Y3 - END OF UNIT CELEBRATION
Year 3 students wrapped up their fascinating inquiry into migration and exploration, under the transdisciplinary theme “Where We Are in Place and Time”.
Through an engaging case study of the Vikings, students connected historical knowledge with present-day themes of migration and exploration, deepening their understanding of how these shape societies.
Students showcased their learning journey by presenting their findings and understandings to Year 2 students and teachers. The celebration highlighted the transdisciplinary nature of their inquiry, as they demonstrated not only their grasp of history, but also its relevance today. It was inspiring to witness the agency of learners as they took ownership of their presentations, making independent choices in how to share their work.
The interactive exchange between Year 3 and Year 2 was a powerful moment. Year 3s displayed their voice and choice, illustrating how they have grown as independent inquirers and reflective learners throughout the Unit.
We are proud of their efforts and the meaningful action they have taken in their learning!
