ROCK TOGETHER
The 6th May marked the first edition of Rock Together, a massive fundraising event that united two big schools such as The British Schools and The Stella Maris College for a noble cause. For eight hours on a lovely warm autumn day, “Rock Together” brought together musicians of all ages from the two communities in an outstanding exhibition of superb talent and exceptional musical performances.
The event was a huge success thanks to the collaborative spirit, positive atmosphere and good vibe of everyone who participated: organisators, collaborators, teachers, students and families all came together in a true demonstration of the sense of Community surrounding our School.
Just as there are architects for any social change, “Rock Together” did not spring to life spontaneously. Rather, it was the result of many hours of thought. Planning and sheer hard work. Any list of the participants in this process runs the risk of forgetting someone – especially in an endeavour of this magnitude. Equally it would be churlish not to recognise those who played a leading role in making this event happen.
All proceeds of this event are destined to support many solidary institutions, activities, student initiatives and the CAS (Creativity Action and Service) programme.
