PREP - TRANSITION TO Y1

As the academic year comes to an end, Prep students were guided into different activities to accompany them in the transition to Y1.

Activities began on Monday, 5th December and included Prep students and Y1 teachers who accompany them in the process, deeply focused on the socio-emotional aspect of each child. 

The range of activities included, but were not limited to, the following:

• We took advantage of the weekly PSPE (Values) sessions with Prep, to listen to any questions or concerns the Prep students had regarding this incoming milestone;
• An Assembly was organised for Prep children and Y1 Teachers, who answered their questions;
• Visits to the Y1 classrooms and the Y1 playtime area;
• Prep students also enjoyed different activities prepared by the Y1 teachers inside their classrooms.

We are confident that this is a positive, constructive and fun transition for all those involved and we ask the families´ support in accompanying your child(ren) from home over the course of the next few weeks.
