INTER-SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY

On Wednesday, 1st June, with a large number of enthusiastic spectators and with the weather sunny, but cold, the Inter-school Cross country took place. The ‘Britishness’ of the event was completed with the School beautifully decorated for the Queen's Jubilee,

Thirteen schools took part and 10 races were held over distances ranging from 1,700m for the younger students to 2,200 m for the older ones. Medals were awarded to the first three places and diplomas to the next three competitors. The activity finished with a hot chocolate for all participants, to warm them up after running in the cold.

It was good to welcome other schools back again to compete in the event after a two year break.
