GEOGRAPHY TRIP

On Friday April 4 A field trip to Punta del Este was organized for Year 11 and Year 12 Geography students to explore the evolving nature of tourism and business in the peninsula area. The students engaged in various investigations, including land use surveys, interviews, and analyzing areas of high commercial activity. This hands-on experience allowed students to develop essential fieldwork skills that are crucial for their educational growth.
The field trip not only contributed to their Internal Assessment, which accounts for 25% of their final grade, but also provided valuable real-world application of the concepts learned in class. More importantly, the fieldwork was an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities. By engaging directly with the environment and local businesses, students gained a deeper understanding of the subject matter, which will serve them well in their future academic and professional endeavors.
