Remembrance Day service at the British Cemetery

Remembrance Day service at the British Cemetery

On Tuesday, 11th November, representatives from our School attended the Remembrance Day service at the British Cemetery. Senior Prefects and Junior School Council members joined the Principal and the Heads of Junior and Senior to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in the Great Wars.

As part of the ceremony, one of our Prefects delivered a moving reading from Robert Laurence Binyon’s ‘For the Fallen.’

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them.”

This is an annual event we take part in and, additionally, a minute silence was observed in various sections of the School at 11am.
