Piso Digno

On 8th August, we held a special event in support of ‘Fundación Piso Digno’, an organisation committed to improving the living conditions of families in vulnerable situations by replacing dirt floors with wooden ones in precarious homes.
Thanks to everyone’s commitment, this year we exceeded our target! In 2024, we raised enough funds to build 9 floors, and thanks to your continued support, we will be constructing 11 floors in 2025!
To deepen their learning and enrich this experience, Year 9 students recently took part in a session with representatives from Piso Digno. They learned step by step how a new floor is constructed—from the installation of nylon as a moisture barrier to the wooden framework that elevates the home—an intervention that makes a tangible difference in terms of health, safety and dignity.
To engage even more closely with this meaningful cause, we have organised three visits to the San Miguel neighbourhood in Cerro Norte. During these visits, Year 9 students will be joined by their parents, strengthening the connection between our School Community and the local realities.
A heartfelt thank you to all the families, students and staff who supported this initiative, and to the parents who will be accompanying us on the visits.
