IBO PYP Authorization Process

The British Schools (Senior School) has offered  the IB Diploma Programme since 1971, and is very proud to have pioneered the programme in South America.  The “Pioneer” status is confirmed by the IB registration number of 000011.

After the extensive investigation of available international curricula, the decision to implement the IBO Primary Years Programme was taken in 2013. In 2015 The British Schools began its journey as a Candidate School. After 2 years of hard work and continual professional development the School is pleased to announce its place amongst an elite group of International Schools worldwide, offering the PYP.

Through the PYP curriculum framework, The British Schools provides a rigorous, high-quality, international education for students. It is designed to inspire a passion for learning whilst challenging intellectual curiosity, encouraging inquiry and maximizing individual potential. Though sacrificing none of the traditional values and traditions of The British Schools, the PYP provides the key for creating a community of learners - encompassing students, parents and staff- who share responsibility for developing lifelong learners and active, compassionate world citizens with a genuine commitment to affect positive change in the world.

Exciting times.
