Y12 VISITS CUDIM
On 8th May, Y12 IB Physics students made an educational visit to the Uruguayan Center for Molecular Imaging (CUDIM). Having finished the unit on Atomic, Nuclear and Particle Physics in the course, it was a privilege to visit this institution that develops imaging for diagnosis with radio-tracers and radio-drugs.
The purpose of the visit was to become familiarized with some specific applications of Nuclear Physics in Medicine and to get to know an advanced centre which is a regional reference that opened its doors (and laboratories) for us to know what they do and how they work daily with radioactive materials.
