Y11 & Y12 GEOGRAPHY TRIP

Y11 & Y12 GEOGRAPHY TRIP

Year 11 and Year 12 IB Geography students went to Ciudad Vieja for a day of fieldwork investigating land use patterns and exploring the importance of tourism in the Old City. Fieldwork activities included land use mapping, pedestrian counts and measuring noise and traffic levels. Fieldwork reinforces and extends principal geographic concepts and skills taught in class. It adds to the student’s knowledge through practical work and is a means of assessment beyond the constraints of written exams, and a great deal of fun is had!
