Talking about tea with Mr. Twining

Talking about tea with Mr. Twining

Last week we were fortunate to have Mr. Stephen Twining visit our Y2L students. His ancestor, Thomas Twining,  founded the famous Twining’s Tea company over 300 years ago.

Mr. Twining gave an enjoyable presentation on the history of tea, and how tea is produced. He also explained where in the world tea is grown, some of the different types of tea and how to make a perfect cup of tea. Students were surprised to hear that one of the golden rules of tea drinking is to ‘never put sugar in tea!’

He was kind enough to leave a gift for each one of the students present.

We would like to thank him for taking time out of his busy trip around South America to talk to us.
