INTERNATIONAL GIRLS IN ICT - MONTEVIDEO LABS

Our students were kindly received by Máximo Gurméndez, CEO of the company who welcomed them and briefly explained how Montevideo Labs works. Part of the staff of the company shared their working experience and our students had the chance to do a "hands-on" activity applying basic machine learning concepts. They attentively listened to several people that work there explaining what they do and heard a lot about different possible careers to study that are related to technology. 

To close such a nice afternoon, our students were invited to have a coffee break with the staff of the company. Apart from enjoying delicious coffee and biscuits, it was the perfect chance to approach the employees and chat in a relaxed way about their university experience and current jobs.

Montevideo Labs organizers took care of all the details before and during this activity for our students to have an enriching experience. They even prepared a trivia where the top 3 students received amazing prizes. Our students learned a lot and had a lot of fun too. We really appreciate Montevideo Labs for having us and making us have a great time!
