Educational outing to Fray Bentos
As part of the field trip, students from 5YL visited the Ex Frigorífico Anglo (Fray Bentos Industrial Landscape), Solari Museum and Young Theatre. The aims of the visit were: to appreciate a city and its British settlement which were fundamental in the history of the XIX and XX centuries; learn about the labour world of that era as they toured the museum and the industrial facilities, reflect about the importance of Luis A. Solari’s work and his connection with the meat factory and the city’s life; to visit the Young theatre and appraise its restoration, as well as learning of the history of the Young family which was emblematic in the development of the department. |
