PREP - COMMUNITY HELPERS

On Monday, 12th June, Prep students celebrated Community Helpers Day at School as part of their Unit of Inquiry, under the transdisciplinary theme, “How we organise ourselves."  

Prep arrived to School dressed up as different community helpers. They were able to choose any worker that they were interested in and brought props to help model their work.

By participating in these symbolic play situations, children can have a great time whilst also demonstrating their understanding of the important roles that various workers play in a community.

This type of activity is a valuable way to help children develop their creativity, social skills, and knowledge of the world around them. Additionally, it can be a great way to promote a sense of community spirit and encourage children to appreciate the contributions of all those who work to make their community a better place.
