Y2 VISITS GRANJA "LA DOMINGA"

We were welcomed by José and Jacinta (father and daughter), who were very good hosts. José is an agronomist and gave us a very dynamic and interactive talk, in which he explained about the different plants, fruits and vegetables.
He shared with the students a variety of plants for them to see and touch. He also explained about the soil´s ability to absorb water with a very visual example: with a floor cloth which the students loved.
They learned about the different colours of fruits and vegetables and that the leaf of the plant is the factory where plants produce their own food.
Then we went to the field where the pupils planted potatoes, garlic, strawberries and some other plants.

When we left, each student took a lettuce to plant at home.
