F5 PYP EXHIBITION
The much expected Form 5 PYP Exhibition finally took place on October 26th.
The PYP exhibition represents a significant event in the life of a PYP school and its students, synthesising the essential elements of the PYP and sharing them with the school community. Students are required to engage in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems. As a culminating experience, it is an opportunity for students to exhibit the attributes of the International Baccalaureate learner profile that they have been developing throughout their engagement with the PYP in Junior school.
Students worked intensely during the exhibition process to produce representations of their learning and clearly demonstrated the 5 essential elements of the PYP programme (knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, action).
Many thanks to their Form teachers and all the Junior staff for their hard work in guiding and supporting the students. The contribution of single subject teachers helped students make connections between the various subject disciplines throughout the 6 weeks.
We hope parents were very proud of their child’s efforts as they shared their learning so enthusiastically and confidently with the audience.
Congratulations Form 5 students! We hope you continue working with the skills and strategies you developed in the process of preparing the exhibition to other projects you embark on the years to come.
We share some of the pictures of this great day for our School:
